Olympus To Launch a New PC 3D Viewer Kit with LCD Monitor

Today Olympus Japan announced a new PC 3D kit for content creators. It will be bundled with a monitor recommended by Olympus Visual Communications. According to Olympus, you'll be able to check 3D stereoscopic effects of your work directly on a PC monitor.

It will feature shutter glasses allowing for 3D stereoscopic viewing on a standard LCD monitor, a controller box, and a 24-Inch BenQ LCD monitor that provides a full HD resolution, and a response time of 5ms.

It should be only available in Japan February 23th.

Yeah, the monitor doesn't have anything to do with the functionality. Its just the glasses and software (from what I've known of similar kits they always come with the software). Just don't expect too much, its not as impressive as you think (in my opinion) and can lead to serious eye strain. When your eyes try to focus on various depths that are actually all a flat plane it messes with your head.
