Let’s Visit Tokyo – Shinagawa Train Station & Shinagawa Business Center

Shinagawa Train Station is like Tokyo Central Station, one of the most famous places for many tourists visiting Japan. It's the second train station in Tokyo area for catching a shinkansen for visiting Kyoto, Osaka, and other areas. Shinagawa tain station is a pretty busy place all week long.

It's also interesting to note that Shinagawa train station divides Shinagawa in half. On one side there are several famous hotels for both Japanese and foreign tourists, like the Prince Hotels (there are several). On the other side of the station you have huge business complexes where companies like Mitsubishi, Sony, Canon, Kokuyo, NTT have offices and buildings. Today it's this side of Shinagawa that we'll visit, an interesting place where buildings meet trees.

nice video tour (looks great in HD!). I find the office complex around Shinagawa station is impressive and the central garden very relaxing. but you ended your tour just short of the most important stop in the area: the the high-tech kaiten sushi restaurant just south of the station!

google street view of the restaurant here, it's on the 2nd floor of this building:

in addition to the usual conveyor belt there is LCD touch screen ordering. great fun for the visitor, and cheap. but very busy. there's a tech angle to the place, you should do a video review

pls keep up those vids-is there any possibility to get some vids from some electronic stores like Big Camera or Laox etc. or fashion temples like the Hermés Bldg. or the new Armani store
I know its a time issue but it would be cool anyways.
When I was there I visited a vast recreation area with a pirate ship-was such a nice park outside of Tokyo.

Joerikas > For the electronic Store, already done some a long time ago here Visiting the Yodobashi Camera shop! Video inside!, for other stores this is quite complicated, takes always weeks before getting authorizations...

I enjoy your videos. How do you blend the sound so seamlessly between the cuts?

Same question here: Sound between transitions - is it really that smooth or is there a trick? What software do you use for editing?

Thanks for all the wopndeful videos from Tokyo - makes rememberance of my visit there more painful though.

wokatingay & Nomax > I Use Final Cut Pro 6.0.5 and for the sound I use the cross fade +3dB.

There are some other tricks, like for example like using a 2 minutes audio track for several video clip, but I did not do that here...
