The Korean MP3 manufacturer presents a concept design of an MP3 player, the FY700, that will have SLC (Single Level Cell) memory instead of the usual MLC.

Most of the CompactFlash Cards are made with NAND Flash ICs. There are two different types of NAND Flash ICs (chips) in the market, SLC (Single-Level-Cell) chips and MLC (Multi-Level-Cell) chips. MLC chip technology allows two bits of data to be stored in one memory cell, while SLC chip technology allows just one."
