The AVCHD HDC-SD5 and SD-7 camera recorders by Panasonic

We introduced the Panasonic HDC-SD5 and SX5 (U.S market) on monday, both are compact camcorders using SDHC cards (SD5) and DVD/SDHC (SX5)...today, Panasonic presented those products to the media BUT with a little extra surprise: the SD7 (HDC-SD7), based on the style of a good old MPEG2-D-Snap with support of the HD (1920x1080) and AVCHD!

I'll spare you the details of the specifications because we did that here already) but I want to insist on a nice little feature: the Direct USB Recording! You can plug an external DVD burner (by Panasonic) on any of those camcorders (SD5-SD7-SX5) and quickly save what you recorded on a DVD-R or DVD DL, unfortunately you won't be able to play this disc directly on a standard DVD player but no matter what, it gives a great opportunity to rapidly save your videos and photos and get back that disk space from one day to the other (let's say you're in vacation), all this, with no need of a computer! Great job Panasonic!!

thank you for the video. If it's possible I would like a review too about the new Sony HDR-CX7 which uses memory stick to save the video similiar to the Panasonic SD-5
