I've seen some 1080i and 720p samples from the HD1000. Very impressive!
How does the HD700's 720p footage compare with the HD1000? They use different sensors so i imagine there will be differences.
If HD700 can pull off what HD1000 can in 720p, then the smaller size of the HD700 will be a big plus

Awesome pictures! I wonder how much more compact the HD700 is compared with the HD1000, and how their optics compare. We already know the HD1000 does 720p at 60fps and 1080i at 60 fields per second video recording and that the HD700 is limited to 720p at 30fps. So it'd be interesting to know if low-light sensitivity, auto-focus, colors and more would be as good with the cheaper HD700.
Overall I think these Sanyo camcorders look awesome, I just wish they were a bit cheaper. I guess they position themselves around the price of the competing AVCHD camcorders.
I wonder if there will soon be as good quality and cheaper camcorders using the new Texas Instruments chip and that chip that Aiptek uses for its cheaper 720p camcorders.
