wouldn't the sand destroy the mechanical mechanisms in the unit? at least an mp3 player can be sealed tight to be even water proof. i don't know of anyone selling tapes anymore, let alone cd's. those era's are now neatly displayed at museums.

This is actually something I would buy. When tapes and cds become ridiculously cheap, I can take advantage of that.

how do you get one of this and how much do they cost. My mom still loves her tapes and listens to them all the time.
