Princeton Reinvents the Magic Tablet!

Well not quite but ... damn it's crazy how people can click on anything on the internet , just kidding.

Here come Princeton's latest "tools", a couple "Pen Tablets":

Number one is called PTB-W1, what we have here is a wireless graphic tab featuring sixteen programmable buttons, PC and MAC compatible. The release date is set for April in Japan and the price should be just below 20.000JPY (127€).

Some of the specifications:
-278x282x20mm at 595g
-wireless up to 30m away from the receiver
-1024 levels of pressure
-USB rechargeable battery
-16 hours autonomy
-the pen uses an AAA battery said to last 1 year

Second on the list is the PTB-DIP1, a kind of "notepad tablet" as you write on a normal sheet of paper placed over the device, everything you write is then stored in the 32Mb memory which can contain up to a hundred A4 type sheets. An SD card port creates additional space and can also be used for voice recording.
The data is then recorded and transfered thanks to "Myscript Note Basic" software, turned into text files or images (JPEG, GIF). The PTB-DIP1 also lets you choose the text color (red, blue, green or black), black for invisible (not recoreded).

A simple USB plug allows you to grab data and audio (MP3).

Dimensions and weight: 250x350x12mm at 650g and a base price of 19800JPY : 127€.

Not magic but pretty cool indeed!
