Toshiba Japan Gives Up and Begins Being Reasonable

At least with their first Netbook, the NB100, the lack of Netbook in Japan was a nice opportunity for Toshiba Japan to slightly overprice their little and technically OH SO CHEAP Netbook, the NB100 at 74800 Yen (roughly 600€ or 757USD). In in Europe the NB100 would have been sold for $472 USD (a bit less than 50,000 Yen).

Unfortunately for Toshiba, other Japanese and foreign PC manufacturers are to selling their Netbook at a somewhat closer to reality price of 59,800 Yen (481€ or $605 USD, the world economy is so screw-up that both € and $ value are close to nothing).

Under this pressure and a fairly bad sells forecast, the almighty people at Toshiba Japan for the second time chose to drop the price of their NB100, WAY before its official release, to a more conventional price of 59,800 Yen. Roughly a 20% discount.

Toshiba Japan admitted they tried to XXX their beloved Japanese customers of 15,000 Yen... Aaaah Toshiba, your wisdom never ceases to amaze me.
