The last HP monitor has a LOT more connections and is VERY cheap, plus is superb considering the price.
Dell used to be good, but not more. Not with those unrealistic prices.

in response to hp's comment: "The last HP monitor has a LOT more connections and is VERY cheap, plus is superb considering the price.

The fact is, that HP monitor you're referring to is probably a typical TN panel monitor. The colour reproduction on an IPS monitor is levels above what a TN panel monitor show you.
This price is fairly average to somewhat competitive from what I've seen of other IPS panels

I have a bad taste in my mouth when I hear HP... beside my beloved HP 48GX... I really do not like this brand... Should I give them another chance ?

both HP and Dell have been guilty of bait and switch in the past, sending out better monitors in tthe first few months to get good reviews and then switching to cheap panels later, they have promised to not do it again and they seem to have stuck by that.
that said you still have to be careful that apparently similar models in different markets can be different. here in the UK people buy displays on size per price and seem largely unaware of the many different display types. The Japanese seem much more aware of quality.
