Halo 3: ODST : [TGS09] Halo 3: ODST, a New Game or Simple Extension Pack?

Yesterday, after 30 minutes queuing at the Xbox booth, we finally goy the chance to test the new Halo 3: ODST, a first-person shooter officially announced last week (September 22th).

Developed by Bungie, this new opus was released last week, nearly two years after the Halo 3… For this new version (or add-on), you incarnate as an ODST Orbital Drop Shock Trooper instead of the famous Master Chief… Bungie added a new campaign, a new hero, a new four player co-op firefight, three new maps….

Regarding the overall quality, Halo 3 ODST is well designed but nothing really new. Multiplayer Mode seems to be the same. However, with Bungie's new co-op firefight mode you will have to make your own team and defend an area. Attacked by enemies, each wave becomes increasingly more difficult… Really interesting…

As for graphics, Halo 3 looks good like its predecessors… But that’s it… Nothing really impressive since Bungie kept the same engine… An engine probably becoming too old…

Halo 3: ODST is a good game… Announced as an add-on, it was released as an entire new game (€50)… However, there's nothing really exciting for pure Halo fans… It's dedicated more toward Halo new comers. Old timers, you can probably forget it…
