Toshiba T-01A : DoCoMo Summer 2009: Toshiba T-01A Wimo 6.1 PDA Phone (Two) Hands-on

Better late than never, this should be Toshiba Moto, well, they are still holding on to the Blu-ray, but who cares about them anymore in the HD world? Toshiba seems desperate and today they finally launched their Snapdragon 1GHz powered PDA phone introduced at the last WMC ( MWC Live: Toshiba TG01).

T01-A in Japan, this new kindle like sized PDA phone, ok I am kindling here the T01-A is not that big but come on, who on earth would put this 130 x 70 x 9.1mm PDA phone in their pocket? If you aren't concerned about the size, I admit the T-01A is pretty attractive, and I love its 4.1” WVGA screen…

Other features include a GPS, HSDPA and HSUPA, WiFi, support of both H.264 and DivX… Once you accept the T-01A's enormous size, it's pretty interesting. Now the question you are asking your self is how fast is this baby, well I couldn't play a lot with it but it seems pretty fast. Now lets see if Toshiba can cook a stable ROM on this device and if they'll offer 6.5 to any Japanese customers in the near future. By experience, Japanese carriers don't provide many updates so we will see.
