Sony presented today their new Walkman NW-S600 and NW-S700 series, and new NetJuke NAS-D50HD, M70HD, and M90HD. During their presentation, Sony gave all present journalists a NW-S706F/T to test, and so we were able to try out the ABSOLUTELY bluffing noise cancellation system. Even if only the NW-S706F/T has this system, the other players all share the same features, such as support for MP3, WMA, and ATRAC files. The players can encode music directly from a MD or CD player to avoid using a PC. They also come with 1 to 4GB of memory. I’m delighted by their really nice design.
The NetJukes are some sort of bridge between your DAP and your CD or MD so you don’t have to use a PC. There are 3 different models, corresponding to 3 different options. The NAS-D50HD has a 80GB hard disk, and a CD and MD player. The M90HD has a 250GB hard disk, CD and MD as well. The NetJukes have a dock to connect your DAP so you can charge it and copy your CDs directly to it.
