Skim Black I protects your electronic money

Like many other countries, Japan now uses electronic “wallets” such as payment cards or payment features in mobile phones. To prevent hackers from “stealing” your money, Elecom offers several products that stop potential “leaks” (99.9% of them). It seems our hi-tech robbers can’t access your wallet without you knowing it…

Ok... but don't the DoCoMo phones with Felica e-wallets only activate the wallet function after you scan your thumbprint? It's not like RFID per se - you can't really skim it when it's off, and when it's on, you wouldn't have it covered with this.

The wallet card makes sense for RFID though - but if you just carried a piece of foil in the billfold it would have the same (or better) effect.

For the version that is attached to the mobile, doesn't it affect mobile signal quality too? Why whould I want to compromise that?
