PowerShot TX1 : PowerShot TX1, the Xacti HD-like. Who’s got better?

If you’re a fan of pocket HD videos, this is going to please you! I was at Honda today for a press conference about a new SUV while Totoro was on a mission at Canon for the launch of their new toys, the PowerShot TX1 in particular. This is a Xacti-like video camera supporting HD videos (1280x720) at 30fps in AVI (Motion JPEG). Even if I’m totally confident in the Canon products (we’ve got the Canon Kiss, 20D, 30D, maybe the 5d soon), I’m skeptical about the quality of videos in Motion JPEG HD… However, for photos, this camera has a 10x optical zoom, DIGIC III, ISO1600, a 1.8” TFT screen, support for SD and SDHC. The camera measures 88.8x29x59.9mm and weights 220g.
