The World's Smallest Camcorder?

In an announcement made by the fine folks at Panasonic, the company is claiming that its new HDC-SD5 is in fact the world's smallest 3CCD Full HD camcorder. And considering its dimensions are a minute 2.6 x 2.6 x 5.3-inches and it weighs just .75-pounds, there's no wonder the company is making such claims.

Besides its size, the camera sports 1,920 x 1,080 30fps recording on SD or SDHC cards as well as image stabilizations Leica Dicomar lenses. Look for it in September for a cool $1000.

Okay. I am a bit confused.

Is this availavle in Japan already and the announcement is that these models will be introduced for the N. America market during September? (I think I stumbled upon such article somewhere)

Do you have any idea? I really am interested in that camera (actually, I would opt for the sony, but they dont have english interface, only in the over(prices)seas models.

please I want a HD Video of this HD Camera :D (lol what a coinsidence). I am really considering of buying this one. My old Tape SD Camera from Canon Mvx4i broke about 2 months ago and the repair costs are so high, I could easily afford this one instead of repairing this.
