BenQ Releases Four LED Backlight Monitors with Two Impressive Eco Models

This morning in both India and Japan BenQ announced the world launch of four of their latest LED backlight LCDs: the stunning V2200 Eco, V2400 Eco, and the G920WL and G922HDL.
Let’s first talk about the Eco Series. Available in two sizes, 21.5” and 24”, these LED backlight monitors offers both a 250cd/m2 brightness, a 50000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and are both Full HD with a 1920x1080 resolution.
The most important features are their low power consumption of only 17 Watts (compared to the usual 43 Watts from other BenQ monitors), the plastic used is recycled and the packing cases are also made from recycle material. BenQ also worked hard to reduce waste and to make their products Eco friendly by printing the manual on the carton box, provide a CD driver that's downloaded online (what everyone does anyway), and even removed the plastics bags that cables are usually packed in… I love this move and more companies should do the same with their products.
The other 2 LCDs are unfortunately not Full HD, but more business oriented, and are available in both 19" and 21” and still provide a huge improvement in power consumption.
Here's a short video of the monitors shot at the event.
PS: to demonstrate how little power needed to use BenQ’s latest ECO LCD, Martin Moelle, BenQ Japan's Managing Director, powered his LCD by pedaling his bike!
