Nothing was amazingly new at Sharp's booth at CEATEC. We did finally get the chance to play with this nifty little fax, phone and digital photo frame combo,
JD-7C1CL/CW, I'm really in love with it and would consider getting one, but here as well a lack of basic Internet widgets, email and weather thingies is just a killer for me.
Sharp also took this opportunity to display their
NetWalker Netbook, and while many complained about the lack of a useable mouse, I'm still in love with it… Although the mouse is far from perfect, Sharp didn't add a touch-screen for nothing.
The
LED AQUOS were also displayed at CEATC and nothing new… However, Sharp like others, had their own 3D AQUOS TV and we also gave it a shot… The results were as good has what Sony, Panasonic or Toshiba offer … Wehope that these TVs will soon be available at reasonable prices.
Among all the goodies they displayed at CEATEC, Sharp gave us a glimpse of their future E-Magazine platform and e-Book readers. Unfortunately we don't have much to say but the overall experience was pretty good. Thanks to a 3D UI, you will can choose from various magazines and books (that come from paper publications) and then enjoy their contents on your e-Book. Each publication has been modified to make sure it will fits perfectly on your device to provide you the best reading experience ever (zoom, scroll…).
