Six New Panasonic Japan Let’s Notes Powered by Windows 7

This morning Panasonic launched not one but six new Let’s Notes with the usual F8, R8, W8, T8 and the two new S8 and N8.

While the F8, R8, W8 and T8 stay pretty much the same with roughly the same specs as before, they now come with Windows 7 (32bit) and in certain cases a Windows 7(32 Bit) and XP Downgrade.

The most important news is the arrival of the new S8 and N8, compact powerful PCs… While the R8 only offers a Core 2 Duo SU9600 at 1.60GHz, the N8 (no DVD drive) and the S8 (with DVD drive) are powered by a more powerful Core 2 Duo P8700 @ 2.53GHz (1066MHz),, 250GB of HDD a GM45 Express Chipset, 765MB max of VRAM, 2 or 4GB of RAM and a 12.1” WXGA LCD.

The N8 and S8 feature both WiMAX and Wifi a/b/g/n (Wifi Link5150), Gigabit Ethernet, SDHC, HDMI Out, a total weight of 1.16kg for the S8 and 1.10Kg for the N8.

As for battery life, there are some pretty impressive numbers for you, Panasonic announced 8hrs with the standard model and 16hrs for the enhanced version…

Enjoy our live pictures of the press conference and hi-res picturs of the new S8 and N8 (28 in all).
