I can understand that manufacturers want to improve the comfort for the wearer of such underwear, but I want to pass on this message to the Asian manufacturers of underwear for women (doesn't matter if they're Japanese, Korean or Chinese): we don't want/like the granny styled panties! Especially WACOAL seems to be specialized in manufacturing the most horrible looking panties. So to all you pervs out there... next time when you start fantasizing about a nice Japanese, Chinese or Korean woman, think about this news, it will cool you down right away!
