Despite it's rather pinkish looks, this FOMA N701iECO 3G UMTS is a green phone! This phone is the result of a collaboration between NEC and UNITIKA, and they have developed a "Bioplastic" shell that is made out of "Kenaf" fibres. Thanks to this shell, the phone will be easier to recycle and limit the pollution caused on this little planet. Japanese consumers, and especially females, are changing phones very often, so thisis a good evolution. And phones will not be the only devices made out of this material, because soon there will be PC's on the market made out of this material.
