That Gizmo is only available now in Nagoya (june 06) It might be one of the joys of the Japanese country side... Stuff have to be delivered on the back of camels by mountain roads, climbing booth ways, with 1 meter of snows, attacked by rabid wolves (and so on)...
So to come back on the matter.
The hardware is pretty cool, heavy like an old bakelite phone. Not enought copper on the fake dialing pad for my taste.
BUT THE SOFTWARE TAKE THE CAKE...
Never work twice the same way WHEN IT WORKS... Give you another umpteenth icone on the right of the task bar who serve no real purpose except for beeing one more useless clutter. Advanced options includes
1- Autoswitch skype audio device (needed once at the install so, pointless...)
2- Auto run skype when plug in (yeah... sure)
3- Skype window minimizes automatically (work 1 time out of 15... on a good day)
I didn't find any 'made in china' stickers yet so this one might be a real Digital Cowboy product and not some random rebranded chinese junk like nearly everything sold by Elecom. So maybe one day a better driver will appear. Or more likely the company will fall into oblivion...

PS Careful with Rabbit wolves they are deadly in the Japanese country side ![]()
Hardware wyse it seems really good. All the trouble I enjoy really look like driver mayhem. I can go on and precisly describe the test I have done to reach this conclusion. But it's something that will be usefull only to the developpers... (I you happen to see them at the Sushi joint... try to ask them for a little debugging session...)
