Sharp Internet AQUOS, the LD-37SP1 and PC-AX50M

This is a very neat concept that Sharp presents with their Internet Aquos. It's in fact a bundle of a 32 or 37" LCD TV (1200:1 contrast ratio, 550cd/m2 brightness, 6ms and 176 degree viewing angle) and a PC. A very good idea that has been transformed in a sleek design! Seems like the perfect device, but (isn't there always a but) only for regular users. Geeks will turn to something else because the TV is not Full HD due to its HD Ready only specification (with a resolution of 1366x76 it also has only 1 HDMI port. Luckily the DVI port is HDCP. The PC softens the negative experience with the TV, thanks to its rather good specs: a Duo Core 2300, an HD tuner, but unfortunately no HD-DVD or BR. The machine runs on XP Home, a Windows Media Center would have been nicer but anyway, it's up to Sharp to include what they want. The machine is Vista-ready though, unfortunately the Intel graphics card might prove a bit weak for that. A very nice concept, a beautiful product, but it hits the market a bit too late because of all the HD, HD-DVD and BR stuff coming out...
