: 2 New Compact HD Pro Camera from Canon

Oh YES! That is the kind of news we like!!! Canon, which has one of the best HD Camera on the Market with the AMAZING XL H1... just announced today that they will sell in October 2 new compact HD camera with the XH G1 and the XH A1. Unless the XL H1, you won't be able to change your lens to your needs and here our 2 compact cameras carry a Fix "Video L lens" with a 20x optical zoom. The MiniDV camera as a 1/3 3CCD and 1.67Mpix sensor whith the amazing image engine from the XL H1 the "DIGIC DV II". Our 2 wonder are 1080i compatible and like any other HD Camera in this kind of level the resolution will be of 1440x1080. Actually in the MiniDV market you didn't had too much choice when it comes to get a good and affordable price HD Camera and the "Only" cheap choice was the FX1 from SONY, which is very good in "Low Light" condition but not that perfect. Canon comes to us with potential a FX1 Killer, their experience with the XL H1 let us expect only the best for such kind of product. Now and even if this 1080i camera will fit the need of 90% of us, we are somehow sad that, this camera is not i/p and that we still have to struggle with the MiniDV and its limited Bite Rates. We were hopping that one day Canon would come with a HVX 200 Panasonic Killer which support 720p/i and 1080p/i (in any Frame Rates) and which record on 8GB PCMCIA Card or on a 300GB external HDD at 100Mbps !
