The 42" and 50" PDPs mentioned in this article are capable of ACCEPTING a 1080p/24Hz signal, but rescale it to their native resolutions of 1024x768p and 1365x768p respectively. They are not 1920x1080 native resolution displays. 1920x1080 (so-called "full HD") is a resolution spec, not a display spec. Only the Pioneer PRO-FHD1 50" PDP monitor (no tuners, speakers, or stand) has a native resolution of 1920x1080p, and can handle both 24Hz and 60Hz signals. 24Hz signals are boosted to 72Hz for flicker-free reproduction.
