This type of rotary, similar to old fashion "reel" mowers, will produce much closer shaves and less irritation that you get from rubbing the shaver over your face like typical three head rotary razors or vibrating razors like Braun.

I still use the cheapes disposables I can get along with soap in lieu of commercial shaving cream. Cheap. Effective.
