NEC adds VoIP on their thin client

NEC offers in Japan several solutions called “Virtual PC Thin Client System”. These are either a laptop, or a box that goes next to a screen without an OS (XP…) but that allows you to connect to a remote PC. The idea is to store nothing on the machine and have all the data stored and protected on your company’s remote servers. That’s about my rough description of the topic. If NEC has been offering such solutions for a few years, there are now 2 additional clients, including the VersaPro US50 notebook (less than 1kg), and the US100 desktop. Both connect to the Express5800 VPCC Virtual Server. For the VoIP part, NEC offers a 40% quality improvement compared to the previous models.
