A new Canon 50mm series L lens

The latest Canon 55mm lens will start selling in Japan on the 26 January, but if you’re visiting Tokyo, you can already see it at the Canon center in Shinjuku.
The EF 50mm F1.2 L USM series L lens has a 72mm diameter. It measures 85.8×65.5mm and weights a good 580g. Don’t expect a light price at launch either: 1,300.00 euros…

This is one fast lens and it auto-focuses too! I would get it in a heartbeat but I think I'll wait to see what Nikon comes out with. Nothing against Canon, just that all my cameras are Nikon.
