Deskstar 7K1000, the Hitashi 1TB hard disk for Japan

This has made the news today in the Akihabara district. The Deskstar 7K1000 is a 7200rpm 1TB SATA hard disk with 32MB of cache. It’s available at a price of about €315. The good news is that the 4TB NAS are not too far away now, but at what price??
