Why does Canon just rehash their cameras? All of the technology in the IXY2000 was something they could have done with the initial release of the IXY1000.

Completely going off memory, but the IXY1000 was 10mp on a 1/1.8 ccd.
The new model, is 12 mp on a 1/1.7ccd.
Wow, canon that like a 4% increase in size?

They give the IXY2000 iso3200 and IS. IS is great, but they could have given the IXY1000 IS back in Oct. 2006 and to me feels like they just held out on doing that. Let me guess, the IXY3000 will be 16mp on a 1/1.6 ccd with iso 6400, IS, and its newest feature, a wide angle lens at 28mm! What a treat..

Maybe its just me, but I\'m not excited. Canon, you can do more. In some ways, they downgraded the camera. Max shutter speed used to be 1/2000 now 1/1600. Max fps was 2.1 now 1.5 cause of the increase of 2mp. Sad..........Canon has become re-hasher of their own technology rather than innovators.

it hasn't a English Manual .

If it's possible send me a English Manual.
