Rate this News:  BadPoorAverageGoodExcellent
Lately we have been quite rude with Sanyo when it comes to their HD Video Camera.. Ok guys I know I was rude but your previous models were… not that good. Anyway, Today Sanyo proved us that they can kick some serious asses when they have the proper time to build up a new device… Ladies and gentlemen, behold the Amazing New DMX-HD1000, the Full HD Video Camera from Sanyo.

Danny, from Dannychoo.com, which helped us today to cover 4 different press conferences, was stunned by the quality of this product as well how easy it was to handle it… (Thanks again Danny for your time today!). Well in a Nutshell, we have a full HD camera 1920x1080), a 4Mpix Censor, Support of SD and SDHC, HDMI output, Use the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 codec and can record up to 1h25 minutes in Full-HD quality with a 8GB SDHC Card… Our Xacti has a 10x optical Zoom. (112.6x90x54.5mm)

To Sanyo… Well done Guys !

Anyway here you are 19 pictures of this great new device and this only for you and on AkihabaraNews !

There are samples of 1080i video from the Sanyo HD1000 at http://techvideoblog.com/ifa/sanyo-hd1000/ and http://mihd.net/i6twek (links from http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=577679&forum_id=27). There are also some photos taken by the camera at that thread.

I am not a supporter of the using CMOS sensor in a camcorder. The CMOS sensor is not very good at low situations.
I prefered CCD, it gives a solid picture and better low light picture with less noisy in the picture.

I read some other reviews on this camera and decided that it was the exact type of camera I wanted. I read up on this as much as I could, made my decision and rushed out the the nearest Camera shop and bought one.

I opened it up and immediately started playing the with the buttons...(the manual can come later, right?) and after I satisfied my initial curiosity I grabbed the manual and looked for the usual tiny but useful English section. I was disappointed to find that there was none. I thought, not a problem, I'm pretty good with this sort of tech stuff so I'll just change the camera's menus to English.

I went through the menus and found the language section and when I opened it up English was not a supported language. In fact, no other language except Japanese was listed. I can only imagine they included Japanese to let people know that only HAD Japanese. Aaghh... So, if you're okay with that, I have no other complaints...yet.

By the way, the remote control is pretty cool!!
