Japanese TV is not "crappy". You just have to catch it at the right time!
PS - The new 1seg is beautiful, looking to grab one soon.

Have you tried this with the old PSP? Sony said the tuner was for PSP slim, so I hope thet add compatibility in a future firmware update, others wise Sony has cut out 26million users.

the tv tuner is capable for the phat psp also..
just a minor tweak again in its memory and your all set... the only probs is that it can get fewer channels compared to the slim...must be with additional ram for the slim or something...

Well, actually the tuner only works in Japan, 'cause only Japan has the 1Seg Digital signal, in all other countries the tuner does nothing.

Yea UltraNEO it's funny how many people in the states are like I want one. They think it will pick up the Free HD broadcast TV. I don't get how people think 1-seg is the same as the states HD transmission. 1-seg is satellite while our HDTV is transmitted the same way our old analog signal was with UHF/VHF frequencies just digital transmissions instead of analog not from satellite at all lol.
