Hey green pig...
Have you looked into versions of the Boo-ray?
For example if you buy a Boo-ray player and its got version 1.0 its possible that it won`t be upgradable to ver 1.1 or 2.0 !!!
So thqat means your stuck with a player but can`t get any juicy updates!
Go out and get a Boo-ray? Nah thanks

Hehe, great announcement. Everyone has to agree that Blu-Ray is better than HD-DVD.

So they're just stopping production for the HD DVD players and such, and not the actual HD DVD movies? I'm kinda confused.

You know guys, that Sony isnt the only one making BD players, there is still competition between companies making BD. There are many manufacturers that are making blu-ray players. That means that price will still go down.
If HD-DVD won, then I would expect their prices to keep at their current rate right now, unless manufacturers start to support it.

Sony is an evil company.
Sony only mask it's backing of Blu-ray with a "consortium". This company hated mp3s, wanted their own MD world, hated SD cards, want all of use to use their magic-crap-gate.
just look at memory stick prices vs SD card prices. i'll staying away from sony. including blu-ray.
