Looking at the trailer and screens, except some extremely minor UI changes this is exactly the same game as the 1999 hit (it was for me) "typing of the dead" which came out in arcades, dreamcast and PC.

This looks like both a very silly and fun game at the same time. Personally, I am of the opinion that the more outrageous the manner in which you learn words in a foreign language, the better you will remember them (who wouldn't remember that the word "octopus" not only describes an underwater cephalopod, but also makes squid rings out of zombies).
On the other hand, I feel that it is a pity that language-learning games such as this (and many others) never see the light of day in North America. I myself would love learning Japanese all the while getting gore on my DS. Maybe the lack of language games is a sign that North American gamers would much rather shoot the zombies and kill off a couple of brain cells, instead of killing off zombies and actually learning something (in N. America learning = scary/boring). Oh well...

It would be pretty cool if a game like this but instead of writing on english, you had to write on japanese.
But, still this game looks pretty fun. ^^;
