Hm, Marantz should be a great choice for a BD player. They do great stuff, always high quality and got pretty much the functions you need.

The price is kinda high though.

yeah but, does it upscale multy region DVDs to 1080p with that chip? Does it play HD DVDs? (probably not)

For that kind of asking price it should be able to do a lot more. My PS3 can do everything this thing can do...
