hi,
just wondered how these headphones perform in a busy environment such as undergrounds and busy train stations?
is the music able to overcome the surrounding sounds??
also if you could help me understand what the bass is like on these?? cuz i am looking for some heavy bass earphones that are easy to carry and not over sized!
Many Thanks,
Billy

I just bought a pair of these to replace my old Bose in-ear headphones.
Overall, the sound is very nice, better bass than Bose and clear sound. However, the treble may be a little harsh on my opinion and also they lack some bass for non-bassy tracks (i.e. metal, classick rock, etc. would sound much as they are played over a tweeter. Though, it sounds great on Hip-Hop and the like).
No microphonics or other annoying effects so far.
What really is a mistery for me is why on earth Sony provides a cord-length adjusting accessory which was obviously not considered when the cool-looking bulky case was designed.
I prefer the strap bags provided with other models as anything would fit in there without a need for a fancy wrap.
What I ended up doing is throwing away the headphone "base" within and use the case most like a general-purpose carrying case.
