We went to Sony’s press conference where they introduced a new lineup of four Blu-ray player/recorders with built-in HDD. All feature Sony’s new CREAS engine for enhanced image quality.
The first series is composed of two Blu-ray recorders: the BDZ-T55 and BDZ-T75. Both feature 320GB of HDD, BD Live, 24p True Cinema, DLNA (BDZ-T75), and digital tuner TV. As for connectivity, you have HDMI/Component/S-Video/D Interface. Available October 10th and will respectively cost around 700€ and 885€.
As for the second series, you have the BDZ-L55 and BDZ-L95. The L-Series comes with 320GB of HDD (BDZ-L55) or 500GB (BDZ-T75), digital tuner TV, and HDMI/Component/S-Video/D Interface. This series also features an HDV 1080i /DV input, two USB ports for connecting Sony devices such as digital cameras…The BDZ-T75 comes with a SD/SDHC/memory stick/multimedia card reader and is DLNA certified. These BD recorders will respectively cost around 800€ and 1075€.
Sony also introduced the high-end X Series BDZ-X95 & BDZ-X100. This lineup has 500GB (BDZ-X95) or 1TB (BDZ-X100) of HDD, digital tuner TV, Sony's cross media bar GUI and HDMI/Component/S-Video/D Interface and USB port. Both feature the latest version of the DRC-MF (Digital Reality Creation - Multi Function), the DRC-MFv3. Expect a price of 1265€ for BDZ-X95, and 1775€ for the BDZ-X100
The S-Series BDP-S350 and BDP-S5000ES are BD/DVD players only and will be released December 6th.
