New Sony Vaio Type R

Like the Vaio Type A, Sony decided to release the Type R with either Adobe Photo Edition or Video Edition. Whichever software edition chosen it comes with the same hardware, a Core 2 Quad CPU Q9400 (2.66GHz), 4GB of RAM, 1TB of HDD, a GeForce 9600M GT, Blu-ray burner, HDMI Out. 

The Vaio R will also feature a 25.5” LCD with a 1920x1080 resolution and Adobe RGB Support (all in one design).

It looks like Sony is going after the iMAC market with these new desktop PCs. They all look very slick! 1TB HDD?!?! What is with the hood over this monitor in the Type R?
