KRP-600A : Live from Pioneer's Press Conference: New 60-Inch Full HD Plasma TV

We’re just back from the Miyako Hotel Tokyo where Pioneer introduced two new PDPs, the KRP-600A & KRP-500A. Our new plasma TVs are available in two sizes, 60-Inch & 50-Inch, both with Full HD resolution and featuring a new panel designed for high picture quality with deeper blacks and richer, brilliant colors. Pioneer said that black levels are five times deeper than the previous KURO panels.

What I can say, the blacks are really deep. During the press conference, we were plunge into darkness in order to admire the KURO panel's quality, and indeed, the black colors were very deep, causing you to forget the TV.

Otherwise, our PDP Kuro features a digital TV tuner, Advanced Direct Color Filter, the new Optimum Mode, Director Mode and KURO Link.

The I/O terminal comes with 4HDMI inputs, 4 Audio Inputs, 3 D4 inputs, 3 Video inputs, 3 S2; and RGB Video input.

The KRP-600A will cost around 6,300€ and the KRP-500A around 4,500€.
