Get a Job in Japan: Akihabara News and Joblet Japan Hand in Hand with You

When I created Akihabara News, alone, in the dark, six years ago, I was slimmer and had WAY more hair than now... Even If I'm very happy with our 2 Million + UVs per month, I admit that being a Gaijin in Japan is not easy, especially when you're looking for a job. I received MANY emails and messages with advice and so on, and still receive a lot...

To make things a little easier for you, Akihabara News and Joblet Japan (ThePlant) teamed-up to launch a JOB page where you can get job info and announcements if you're living in Japan, or thinking of moving here.

Here's an example for you guys (among MANY every month).

How to get there? Simply click on “JOBS” in the Menu Bar below the Akihabara News logo, register, and apply.

Good Luck !

@Han Solo, the problem is, it's very difficult for a Gaijin to get somewhere to live in Japan... Japanese owner often ask for a Japanese people who can be responsible for you. Generally, they don't trust Gaijin.
That's why, almost companies in Japan, ask you to already live in Japan. Like this, they're sure, you won't have any problem to live somewhere, and they won't have to find you a flat.

But, try to apply... We never know. May be some companies could be interested in your profile!

Good Luck!

I forgot an important thing. If you apply and if a company is interested in your profile, they will probably want to do an interview with you...

Are you ready to pay a round-trip for nothing...

But, try... We don't know if you don't try!

@Daimaou: Not necessarily. Certainly isn't a problem in Europe. And to be honest, a job site on an international site aimed at international viewers - but only offer job ads for residents is pretty pointless. Why have it at all if it serves almost no purpose?
I realize the problem, but it's a japanese problem. Keep it japanese then. Now it's just an execise in Japanese-English translation and only mildly interesting.

Wow !

$2500 to $4000 / month in Japan ?

That's awful, is nothing !

Only to living (alone) there you will spent a lot more than $1000/mo (rental, transport, food, gas, phone, etc, etc), more like $1500~$2000, so getting $4k will be more like $2k/mo in reality.

I would said, hell NO thanks !

Hey guys, if you give up just beacause it's written you need to live in Japan... Of course, you'll haven't any chance to get something!

Just try! Like I did before I Came in Akihabara News' team.

It's not easy, but if you don't apply, of course you won't get a job.

If you try, may be...

If you are the right guy with the right profile, there are no boundaries for Job. But you have to understand that among our readers 24% of them are foreigners living in Japan, and many others are planning to live here.

yep just like disful had said that there is no harm in applying & most probably u won't be selected if u aren't residing in nihon but there might still be a slight chances for some positions & i don't think flying there for interviews is a sole solutions for the interview it can be done thru phones or video conferencing considering the advances in technology....

i basically fail at all the jobs except for the english teaching positions. the pay isn't that great unless you just left college or you're out of a job or you just retired in your 50's with supplemental income.

the better positions require japanese fluency which I'm not.

i'll just continue taking vacations in japan.

bummer.
