On the paper both the Vaio P and the D4 has the same technical specs with the exception of the 1GB only on the D4... As for the performance are concerned... they are almost similar

you should have used a FMV LOOX U for the comparison, its formfactor is more fitting (and i'd say its all in all smaller then the D4 anyway)

however you have a much higher chance of stuffing the Willcom D4 into your pocket as opposed to the Vaio P.
