One of Japan's Largest Electronic Chain Stores in Financial Turmoil

One of Japan's largest electronic chain stores, BicCamera is in financial turmoil... And some extremist Japanese journalists claim the end of this giant is coming soon.

What's all the buzz? What we understand, BicCamera falsified sales records to boost the yearly sales to sell more stock.

How about my points? News like this will make people use all their points and not buy there for a while. That would destroy the stores!
They need to renew the stores as Yodobashi. As in Yokohama I wouldn't think twice if I'll go to Biccamera or Yodobashi. Biccamera stores is too small for me.

Their store seems to be empty most of the time.

Also, i went in there thinking to buy a camera and told them I saw it online for a lot less.

I told them the name of the web site (kakaku.com) and they not only laughed at me, but then told me that they wouldnt bring the price of the camer down any further.

I told them (all in Japanese) that I didnt expect them to price match kakaku, but if they could at least give me a bit more of a disscount that I would buy that camera.

They flat out refused to reduce the price anymore.

So i told them they werent very good sales men and I told them I would just get it online.

Its their loss. You cant laugh at your customer and you cant refuse to give them a disscount for something that was over priced

This is why they are going out of business.

Serves them right.
