New Ricoh CX1 with a 9mp 1-2.3" CMOS Sensor

Today Ricoh announced in Japan a brand new point and shoot camera, the Ricoh CX1. It features a 9Mpix 3½” CMOS sensor with a 7x optical zoom (28-200mm), +1 EV dynamic range boost, 3” LCD, multi target AF, high-speed shooting at 7fps, 88MB of internal memory, SD and SDHC card support, and records video in VGA at 60fps to 120fps.

Interesting features. I wonder what the price will be.

Are there more detailed informations about the +1EV dynamic range boost feature? Something like HDR light?

It's great that they didn't turn the resolution ridiculously high, for a P&S camera, I don't need 15MP, I want a good picture quality with sharp details and low noise.

RAW files too, by chance??


the GX200 looks good, but has no Shutter Priority setting.

i want 7-10x opt zoom, RAW files, shutter and aperture priority, full manual overide and a big sensor in a v small pocket camera....possible??
