Dual Tape and CD Player from Sony

Believe it or not there're still a LOT of people out there who rely on tapes! For several obvious reasons.

Tapes are cheap, easy to use, and will play music even if your player's loaded with 10kg of sand/dust (almost). A lot of people living in rough environments still use tapes for the these reasons.

Here's the CFD-W77, a dual tape (dubbing) recorder which also features a CD player and a FM/AM Radio Tuner.

Expect a selling price in Japan of just around 100 EUR.

wouldn't the sand destroy the mechanical mechanisms in the unit? at least an mp3 player can be sealed tight to be even water proof. i don't know of anyone selling tapes anymore, let alone cd's. those era's are now neatly displayed at museums.

This is actually something I would buy. When tapes and cds become ridiculously cheap, I can take advantage of that.

how do you get one of this and how much do they cost. My mom still loves her tapes and listens to them all the time.
