Photofast CR-9000 : DIY 192GB SSD Thanks to the Photofast CR-9000

This is not the first time we've heard about the Photofast company, nor is it the first time we've heard of a DIY (Do It Yourself) SSD, but the CR-9000 may stand-out from the competition.

Thanks to a nice, cool design equivalent to what Samsung made for its SSDs, the CR-9000 may receive up to 6 32GB SDHC cards in RAID 0 and provides a maxim of 192GB.

The manufacturer announced the following speeds: read 130MB/s write 85MB/s, but as you can see, and thanks to our dear fellow “Hitori Futari” (who sent us these nice pictures on a Mac), expect about 20 sec to complete and 17 sec for shutdown. Nice isn’t it ?!?!
