HDI-SAH7: I-O Data's New Outrageously Expensive 1.5TB HDD

I-O Data Japan announced a new 7200rpm SATAII 1.5TB HDD, the HDI-SAH7. Nothing special you may say, since 1.5TB HDDs are common these days. What hits me the most here is its price tag, 30,600 Yen (250 EUR), twice more expensive than the SEAGATE ST31500341AS 1.5TB SATA HDD in Akiahabra that costs only 14,800 Yen (120 EUR).

I know many brands are screwing us with expensive prices, but here… Ouch! That hurts.

before you think "I'll buy a cheaper seagate" you need to review various articles which highlight major problems, the seagate drives can hang for up to a minute, and so far seagate have failed to respond adequately to complaints.
