My PictureTown Now iPhone Friendly

Yesterday NEC announced their latest iPhone software, and now it's Nikon's turn to do the same. With iPhone's free “My PictureTown” you can now upload / access photos from your iPhone... I just tried it out and it worked quite well. If you're a Nikon user and own an iPhone, you should definitely try it too... My PictureTown is a free service up to 2GB of data.

MELVILLE, NY (Jan. 6, 2009) – Nikon today announced that its my Picturetown™ application, for photo storage and sharing, is now available for download free of charge to iPhone™ and iPod® Touch. With my Picturetown, users of these devices can access, upload and share their images with friends and family, anytime, anywhere.

Nikon’s my Picturetown makes it easy for consumers to securely store their photos and share them with family and friends. Through my Picturetown, users can email images, publish to Flickr®, and link their photos to blogs and social networking sites.

The my Picturetown application includes the following features:
•Access to the user's my Picturetown online storage site
•Ability to create photo albums
•Tagging and organizing images
•Ability to upload images taken via the iPhone camera

"We are very excited to offer the my Picturetown application for iPhone and iPod Touch to consumers as a new avenue for storing and viewing photos," said Chuck DeLuca, product manager, marketing, COOLPIX for Nikon Inc. "With the my Picturetown application, users can easily upload and organize their images with the added convenience of complete mobility."

The my Picturetown application is available free of charge on the iTunes® App store.

Each user receives two gigabytes of free storage on the my Picturetown online service with the option to purchase up to 200GB through a my Picturetown Gold Account.
