Storm-G, Sega's Latest Arcade Game Attraction

Last week Sega invited us to test their latest arcade game, Storm-G, in their Joypolis game center. Simply put, Storm-G is a futuristic bobsleigh video game that looks a bit like Wipeout without the missile thingy stuff. With only two courses available, your goal is to finish first (that’s a surprise) and collect style points on your way down.

If game play is basic, the most exciting thing about torm-G is its cockpit. Like a standard simulator, the cockpit spins right and left at each turn and even spins on itself (360 degrees) in tunnels…

I had quite a laugh playing Storm-G, but you won't spend a lot of time on it simply due to the lack of available courses (two), and also because it's quite tiresome. I was exhausted after only three races (Hard level).

The good news is today you can play Storm-G at Sega Joypolis in Odaiba, but don't expect to see it overseas anytime soon. Sega is only exporting it to Dubai making Japan the only other location on earth to enjoy it.

Have a look at the small video below to get a preview of what Storm-G is all about!

I love it when Sega makes these crazy arcade machines. The old Afterburner cabinets were ace.
