Conclusion:
So finally... What to think about this new UMPC?
Well, when it comes to the design, the U8240 certainly is not as "sexy" as a Vaio UX, and this will bother those who choose regarding the looks... Now... if you mention ergonomics, usability and processing power, there is an italian word for it: BRAVO! Because using XP this Fujitsu was smooth and enjoyable, the main issue would be this problem with the rotation of the screen and the Touch Screen (maybe because of my beta version?); but honestly, if I was to choose right now, I'd take this one over a Sony Vaio UX!

Sony UX without SSD has the same price as that device. But Sony has GSM/GPRS, more universal CF-slot and the most important for such mashine is less weight. But Fujitsu has bigger screen.

The Intel A100 and A110 are a derivative Pentium M core (possibly Banias) running at very low voltage, such that they have a power anvelope of only 3 Watts. Both have only 512 KB cache level 2 and run at 600 and 800MHz. Pretty impressive to run XP at 3W.

This is very impressive - I use the Lifebook P1510 for email, web and ssh but it's twice the size of the U8240. I'd be interested in one but I think the screen dpi will be too high for an oldie like me to put up with.
