Akihabara News tests Senjo No Kizuna, the ultimate Mecha Simulator Arcade Game.

Banpresto (with Bandai), released this summer a new Arcade video game based on the Gundam world, called Senjo No Kizuna. But hold on, we are not talking about a regular Arcade game system, here, but a realistic simulator where you will pilot a Mecha and fight against other players all across Japan, or the game center where you are located!
Banpresto worked very hard to make this as real as possible, and you will control your Mecha as if you were in the anime; also, thanks to a panoramic view, you will really have the feeling of being onboard one of these gigantic Japanese robots. If you are a frequent player, Banpresto can also offer you the possibility to log your score, fight, and allow you to upgrade your robot, just as if you were a Mecha Pilot.

Even if it is a bit difficult to handle your Mecha at the beginning, you will quickly understand how to move around, and how you use wisely your weapons and boost…
It's been a long time since I have had that MUCH fun playing an arcade game, and if you are in Japan we strongly advise you to give it a try…

having played the game as well i can tell you that it super fun to play. the controlls are a little bit clunky when you first play the game but once you get use to them its all good, the only downsides to it is the hefty price to play the game (its 500 yen roughly 4.25 or so) for your 2 rounds that last a little over 3 min. each
other than that though i would highly recomend playing this game if you can find somewhere to play it at

Hi, I'll be going to Tokyo in April and I love arcades. So I was wondering where can I find this game? Perhaps near Akihabara? Since I stay near there and I will definitely visit Joypolis, lol esp. after seeing ur clip on Initial D.

Looks very similar to VirtualWorld (virtualworld.com) with their games of Red Planet and BattleTech. In addition to the local VirtualWorld sites, these were also found in some D&B

You can find this game all over Tokyo in every major area including Akihabara. Most video arcades will have it and they usually have signs out front for the game. You will need to make an ID card first to play the game. It costs 300 yen and can be a bit daunting if you can't read Japanese but don't let that stop you.

sure its all cool but if you think about it there isnt a lot of MS (mobile suit) to use now if they have a Kampfer or a Efferite custume at least by the way zeon #1 lol
for the earth fed side at least a GM bluedestiny or a gundam with a beam javilin
now that would change a lot of opinions.
there are two at yokosuka 4 pods at Mores and 4 at ST. tropez all at Blue street.
