Toshiba (encore) annonce qu'ils élargissent leur gamme de portables Qosmio avec trois nouveaux modèles, les Qosmio G55, Qosmio X305 et Qosmio F55.

Le Qosmio G55 est doté d'un 18.4'' TruBrite large, jusqu'à 500 Go de disque dur, d'une GeForce 9600M GT,de 4Go de RAM et d'un processeur Quad Core HD.
Le Qosmio X305 dispose lui d'un écran 17.1'' TruBrite, la dernière NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX, jusqu'à 400GB (160Go de HDD+64Go de SSD de base) de disque dur, et 2Go de mémoire DDR3.
Enfin, le Qosmio F55 est équipé d'un écran 15.4'' TruBrite, une NVIDIA GeForce 9700 GTS et intègre un récepteur GPS.

Tous la gamme des Qosmio propose une interface HDMI, un port eSATA, des haut-parleurs Harman Kardon avec un subwoofer.



IRVINE, Calif.--Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), today announced the expansion of its flagship Qosmio brand with three unique laptops, the Qosmio G55, Qosmio X305 and Qosmio F55. These new laptops are specifically designed for users who enjoy gaming, multimedia and advanced mobility technology.

The Qosmio G55 is the world’s first laptop to incorporate a parallel media co-processor, which is based on the revolutionary Cell processor(1) technology co-developed by Toshiba, Sony and IBM. Burning the video onto a DVD requires reducing the resolution to standard-definition and then transcoding the final product to a DVD Video MPEG2 format. A 10-minute video can take an hour or more to transcode using a high performance processor. Offloading that work from the CPU to the TOSHIBA Quad Core HD Processor boosts the transcoding speed up to 10 times(2) faster. The Toshiba DVD Player software also takes advantage of this extra performance, upscaling DVD video to high definition.
